A 76-year-old record high temperature could fall today as Prince George will bask in sunny skies this week.
Today’s forecast high of 28 C (feels like 32) could knock off the record of 28.3 C for August 22 in Prince George, set all the way back in 1946.
Environment Canada is calling for a 60 per cent chance of shower or thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight but then clearing overnight and early morning fog Tuesday before a forecast of high of 28 C tomorrow afternoon. It’s also predicted to reach 28 C on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the forecast high of 29 C could topple the August 25 record high of 27.9 C set in 1988.
By Friday, it’s supposed to cool off a little, with a high of 23 C but the sunshine is expected to stick around throughout.
