Two 14-year-old high school students received minor injuries after being struck in a crosswalk by a mini-van Wednesday afternoon near Pine Centre Mall.
The 38-year-old driver of the vehicle was charged by RCMP with failing to yield to a pedestrian and failure to remain at the scene of a collision at about 1 p.m. on Massey Drive, near Prince George secondary school.
The male and female students returned to the school, then were driven to the hospital.
Weather conditions were a factor in the collision, RCMP confirmed, with blowing snow and high winds at the time of the accident.
This was the third pedestrian-vehicle collision in the last month in the city.
Last Friday, a 14-year-old girl was struck by a car in the crosswalk in front of Duchess Park senior secondary school on 9th Avenue.
On Oct. 23, a nine-year-old Prince George boy suffered a broken leg and head injuries when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Fifth Avenue with his parents.
