Streamflow advisory for Upper Fraser rescinded

Advisory for Nechako remains in place

A streamflow advisory for the Upper Fraser is no longer in effect while one remains in place for the Nechako watershed.

The advisories had been put in place on Thursday by the River Forecast Centre in anticipation of the rising temperature increasing the melt of the unseasonably high snowpack.

According to hydrometric data at Environment Canada's Shelley monitoring station, both the level and the flow of the Fraser River have since declined after peaking early-morning Friday.

Levels and discharge at Vanderhoof and Isle Pierre are continuing to rise.
