Prince George RCMP are warning that a suspicious vehicle was seen near an local elementary school on Tuesday.

The sighting occurred at Ron Brent elementary school on 17th Ave. near Victoria St. during lunchtime when a man driving a small, older grey pickup truck offered an 11-year-old female student, according to a report to police.

"No physical contact was made and the child ran home without further incident," Cpl. Craig Douglass said.

The suspect is described as a bald Caucasian man with a heavier build and about 30 years old.

Meanwhile, Douglass said a suspect in another sighting at Blackburn elementary school later the same day has attended the Priince George RCMP detachment to speak to officers.

"As a result of this conversation and other investigative actions, police do not believe this man is a threat to children and we do not anticipate further problems," Douglass said.
