Two Prince George suspects have been arrested after being caught in a stolen truck.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says shortly after 5 a.m. this morning (July 16), police received a report of a stolen F-250 truck from a home on Nation Crescent.

Later in the morning at approximately 9 a.m., a Prince George officer spotted a similar vehicle that matched the description of the stolen truck near 5 Ave. and Highway 97 but by the time the officer could turn around, the vehicle was gone.

Douglass says RCMP then received multiple reports of a dangerous driver in a white Ford F series truck which hit another vehicle near the Simon Fraser Bridge.

The driver refused to stop.

The truck continued across the bridge and hit another truck near the entrance to the BCR Industrial site.

The suspect driving the truck and a passenger exited the truck, which had sustained damages and one suspect would try to take an occupied vehicle but weren't successful in their attempt.

Both fled on foot in different directions which resulted in a short foot chase before both were arrested.

A 31-year-old man and 18-year-old man are both in custody and the truck was confirmed to be the one stolen earlier in the morning.

Douglass adds no injuries were reported.
