Prince George RCMP believe they have apprehended the culprit behind two recent thefts after executing a search warrant Monday on a home in the 2200 block of Norwood Street.
Police said Wednesday in a press release they recovered nutritional products reported stolen from a business in the 1600 block of 15th Avenue during the early morning hours on Friday and a laptop computer reported stolen from Prince George Pulp and Paper later the same day.
A window and the front door was found smashed at the business and at the pulp mill, witnesses said they saw a man in overalls take the computer, which belonged to a contractor, but rose no suspicion until the theft was discovered.
Witnesses also allege the man tried to steal a vehicle as well, according to police.
Four people were arrested at the Norwood home but three were later released while the fourth, a 30-year-old Prince George man whose name was not released, faces property offences.
He also faces charges of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon from a March 8 raid on the same home from which police said they found a quantity of heroin and a can of bear spray.
The man is scheduled to appear in court on April 25 on the trafficking and weapon charges and on June 20 for property charges.
