Home construction has remained on about the same pace as last year so far, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation numbers released Tuesday.
As of the end of April, there have been starts on 17 single-family homes so far in 2014, just one more than by the same time last year.
Three of those starts were in April, the same as in April 2013.
And, identical to the first quarter of 2013, there have been zero starts on multiple family units so far this year.
