A Prince George man has been sentenced to a 30-day conditional sentence and six months probation for participating in the Stanley Cup riot in Vancouver in June 2011.
Christian John Dougherty was issued the term Friday in Vancouver provincial court, according to court records.
A conditional sentence is typically served at home but with conditions such as a curfew. Conditions for Dougherty's sentence were not immediately available.
In September, he pleaded guilty to participating in a riot and a charge of mischief over $5,000 was stayed.
Since the riot in 2011, the Crown has approved charges against 213 people and 140 of them have entered guilty pleas.
The Vancouver Police Department, meanwhile, has recommended 1,086 criminal charges against 325 suspected rioters, nine of them from the B.C. Interior.
The riot broke out after the Vancouver Canucks lost Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final to Boston on June 15, 2011.
