Police seek owners of stamp, coin collection

Rare items found Aug. 3 by Prince George RCMP officers

In most cases, the primary purpose of police is to stamp out crime.

But in this case, the criminal element is not part of the equation; our police force simply wants to reunite lost property with its rightful owners.

Prince George RCMP have found a rare coin and stamp collection and are asking for the public’s help in identifying who owns the items, found on Aug. 3 by frontline members.

The stamps and coins are contained in several blue books.

“If you can describe to us what other coins and stamps are in this collection, we would be happy to return them to you,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Prince George RCMP spokesperson.

If you are the rightful owner of the collection or know who owns it, call the RCMP at 250-561-3300 to speak to a police officer. The file number to be quoted is 2021-29114.
