A 32-year-old man suspected of violently stabbing another man two weeks ago has turned himself in after police put out a warrant for his arrest Thursday.
Kyle Anthony Garnot turned himself in at arount 1:30 p.m. after Prince George RCMP called on the public for help.
"The Prince George RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation," an email said.
Police said the Prince George man has been charged with aggravated assault.
Garnot is wanted after police found a "distressed" man near the corner of Victoria Street and 9th Avenue on Sept. 1. He was rushed to University Hospital of Northern BC where he was treated with life-threatening injuries, police said, and the victim is expected to survive.
Correction: Prince George RCMP previously identified Garnot as 22, when he is 32 years old.
