A man is in custody after police were called Tuesday evening to a stabbing on a city bus.
Robin Colin Fleury, 50, has been charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and obstructing a police officer.
Called by a passenger to Fifth Avenue at Watrous Street where the bus had stopped, RCMP said police converged on the scene, confirmed a description of the suspect and within five minutes had Fleury in handcuffs.
Emergency Health Services transported the victim to hospital with serious injuries to his leg.
Fleury is known to the police and courts. He was last in the news when he was arrested in January on suspicion of stealing a large-screen television from a downtown store.
