Opening day for most of the city's sports fields and ball diamonds will be this Friday.
The move, announced Monday, comes after an assessment of their conditions by city parks department workers.
The exceptions are Joe Martin, Volunteer and Blackburn Parks, which will be assessed again later this week, the city said.
"The City of Prince George thanks residents and visitors for their patience and support while staff work to ensure the community has safe and high-quality sport fields," the city said.
