One person was killed following a single vehicle crash in Salmon Valley area, which has prompted the Prince George RCMP to issue a safe driving reminder to motorists.
The crash was reported to the Prince George RCMP shortly before midnight on Thursday, April 27.
“The driver, an adult man and lone occupant was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene,” said North District RCMP Spokesperson Madonna Saunderson.
The Prince George RCMP say investigators determined that speed and alcohol were likely contributors to the crash.
"With the summer weather finally arriving, and ahead of the May long weekend coming up, Prince George RCMP is reminding motorists to make safe and responsible choices while driving. This means keeping your speed within the posted speed limit, staying sober while driving, and being courteous to other road users," said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP.
