My Time With Santa at the Pine Centre Mall offers children with challenging social, emotional or behavioural needs a more sedate, sensory-friendly visit with Santa featuring low lighting and quiet surroundings.
Each family will get a free 5x7 photo and a gift bag to mark the special occasion.
"We are thrilled to announce that Finning Canada and Northland Hyundai have joined us as exclusive sponsors of My Time with Santa," said Sonya Hunt, Pine Centre Mall general manager in a recent press release.
"In 2014, the year we first offered this program, we served seventeen families - many of whom had never had their photo taken with Santa."
The dates are:
Sunday, Nov. 22 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 29 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Families with children diagnosed with special needs can register for a specific session at Pine Centre in person or by calling 250-563-3681
ext. 29.
Space is limited and booked in 15-minute increments.
Crafts and games will be available to entertain children and their families while they wait.
