Five college kids go to a remote cabin in the woods.
Sounds like the start to a great screamfest.
And it is.
Judy Russell presents Evil Dead: The Musical just in time for Halloween from Oct. 23 to Nov. 2 at the Prince George Playhouse.
This is the only musical in the world with a splatter zone and this comedy has all the elements of cult classic films Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness.
The college students visit the cabin and, of course, unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It's all up to Ash, the demon-killing housewares salesman, to save the day, wielding his trusty chainsaw as he comes to the rescue.
Blood spews, limbs fly and demons tell jokes badly as only a demon can - to music.
"You don't need to be a fan of Evil Dead to love this show," said Russell. "You don't need to be a fan of horror to love this show. You don't even need to be a fan of musicals to love this show. As long as you like having fun, this show is for you."
Ask about the Splatter Zone and group pricing as tickets are available at Studio 2880, 2820-15th Ave., or call 250-563-2880.
