Someone stole a B.C. child's mobility aid

B.C. police are looking for help to recover a child’s mobility aid that was stolen.

New Westminster Police tweeted out photos of the mobility aid on Wednesday (Aug. 12), asking for tips.

The tweet included photos of the device.

Between 7:30 and 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 9, the mini-walker was stolen off the back of the family vehicle that was parked on First Street after a suspect cut the strap and the lock, said a police statement.

The device is valued at $3,000.

“A young #NewWest resident has had her mobility aid stolen,” read the tweet. “Please RT and help us find it and return it to her.”

If you see this mobility aid, you are asked to call your local police department if outside of New Westminster or NWPD at 604-525-5411.
