Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Prince George area.
Snow is expected to start overnight tonight in the Stuart-Nechako, Cariboo and Yellowhead regions, continuing through Saturday, with 10 to 20 cm expected. Communities closer to the Cariboo mountains, such as Horsefly, Likely and Wells could get between 20 to 30 cm of snow.
Saturday's forecast calls for a high of -12 C and a low of -20 C, with windchills dipping to -23 , The sun will return on Sunday and Monday with highs around -15C and the lows near -20 under mostly sunny skies.
More snow is in the forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with colder overnight temperatures expected.
