Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Prince George today.

Ten to 15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall on the city today, according to the agency.

"An approaching Pacific front will track across the B.C. interior today, while the Arctic front lies just south of Prince George," the advisory said. "Significant snow is forecast north of the Arctic front for the B.C. Peace, Williston, Prince George and Fort St. James, where 10 to 15 cm are expected today. The snow will taper to flurries this evening in the wake of the front."

Drivers were advised to use caution, and be prepared for sudden reductions in visibility caused by heavy snowfall.
