Snowfall alerts are in effect for much of northern B.C.

Depending on where you live, you can expect from 10 to as much as 25 centimetres of snow to fall over tonight and through tomorrow, according to Environment Canada, as a storm from the Pacific blows through.

Hazardous winter conditions are predicted and visibility could suddenly drop to zero in heavy and blowing snow. Environment Canada is advising highway travellers to postpone non-essential roadtrips until conditions improve.

The alerts are in effect for the Stuart Nechako, Bulkley Valley and Lakes District regions to the west, the Williston, B.C. Peace and Fort Nelson regions to the north and the Chilcotin and 100 Mile regions to the south.
