Environment Canada has expanded a heavy snowfall advisory for the Pine Pass on Highway 97 north of Prince George to include the town of Mackenzie.
A Pacific frontal system is expected to dump 10 to 20 centimetres of snow in the mountain pass area starting Wednesday afternoon. The snow is expected to taper off early Thursday morning as the system continues moving eastward, Environment Canada said.
Drivers should be aware heavy snow could reduce visibility and make road conditions dangerous, the agency warns.
