City crews worked Saturday to keep Priority 1 and Priority 2 routes clear and passable. Today, after Environment Canada predicted seven to nine centimetres of snow on Saturday and overnight in Prince George, crews are in the Orange and Green garbage collection zones.
In conjunction with snow clearing operations, city crews will be clearing sidewalks and maintaining roads on problem hills, according to a statement issued by the city.
Tonight, city crews will continue clearing Priority 1 and Priority 2 routes.
Priority 1 routes include: main arterial roads, downtown business district, priority hills, the hospital district, school zones and civic facility entrances, parking lots and pathways.
Priority 2 routes include: all bus routes that are not main arterial roads and all commercial and industrial roads.
After Priority 1 and Priority 2 routes are cleared, residential streets, some park facilities and low-priority civic facility parking lots will be cleared.
