It was exactly six years Monday that an Alexis Creek woman was last seen, but her family continues their search.

July 6, 2004 is when 41-year-old Jaqueline (Jackie) Bob disappeared while picking mushrooms with friends in the Nemiah Valley, and was reported missing the next day due to the remoteness area.

An extensive week-long ground and air search was conducted involving RCMP member, dog and air services, search and rescue teams and members of the Tsilhqot'in National Government who assisted on foot, horseback, and on ATV's. But no trace of Bob was found.

Family friends and volunteers have continued the search, but have failed to reveal any leads.

Six years later her family is still concerned with the circumstances of her disappearance with hope that anyone with information will reveal it to police who say although foul play is not suspected, it cannot be ruled out, Cst. Craig Douglass of the North District General Investigation section in Prince George said in a news release.

At the time of her disappearance Bob stood five feet, two inches tall and weighed 117 pounds.

She had shoulder-length black hair and scars on her chin, hip and abdomen. Bob, who was residing on the Stone Reservation, had recently underwent hip surgery and had dentures. She also had a bee allergy and reportedly carried an Eppy-pen.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Bob is asked to call the nearest RCMP or municipal police.
