A man was taken to hospital after hitting the ditch west of Dawson Creek Wednesday.
Shortly before 1 p.m., Dawson Creek RCMP responded to an accident on the Alaska Highway. The driver, who was alone, lost control on a wet road. The vehicle hit a sign, rolled over and came to rest on its wheels.
The car appeared to be totaled.
The man was taken to Dawson Creek Regional Hospital suffering from facial and head lacerations. He is believed to be in serious condition and medical staff were preparing to airlift him to another facility for further treatment.
