Rock-and-roll literacy comes to nine schools in Prince George today with author Sigmund Brouwer leading the chant to encourage students to read.
Nine schools, both secondary and elementary, will benefit from a fun and educational talk to encourage reading at any age.
Brouwer, author of several children's novel, fiction geared for adults and non-fiction, makes a commitment to write a book every year and, during his off time, tour schools to share the message of literacy.
Brouwer visits Glenview elementary, Kelly Road secondary, Highglen elementary, St. Mary's Cahtolic school, Quinson elementary, cole College Heights elementary, Foothills elementary, cole Lac Des Bois and Pinewood elementary in Prince George.
In McBride he will make an appearance at the McBride secondary school and Centennial elementary and make one stop in Valemount's Secondary Theatre where the secondary and elementary school children will attend the session.
