Spectators who want to head out to Otway Nordic Ski Centre or Tabor Mountain Ski Resort during the Canada Winter Games will have to take a shuttle service to get there.
There is no public parking at either site, but the shuttle service will pick up passengers from a park and ride at the Prince George Aquatic Centre at Exhibition Park every 15 minutes during the peak morning period and then every 30 minutes thereafter each day.
The service to Otway begins at 7 a.m. and for Tabor it starts at 8:15 a.m.
The final departure from Otway is 60 minutes following completion of the day's competition or medal ceremony.
At Tabor, final departure is at 4:25 p.m. each day during the first week, except on Feb. 20, when it's at 2:40 p.m. During the second week, the final departure is at 5:25 p.m., except on Feb. 28, when it's at 6:10 p.m.
There is some limited parking at Tabor but it's primarily for season pass holders.
For Purden Ski Village, there is parking in the main lot and overflow at the lodge and no spectator shuttle is available.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transportation confirmed Thursday that speed reductions will be in place along Highway 16 in the vicinity of Tabor and Purden. "No parking zones" will also be in place along the stretches to prevent conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles.
