Showcasing the value of a library card

The Prince George Public Library is joining libraries across the country in celebrating Canadian Library Month. The library is offering an exhibit at the Bob Harkins Branch to showcase the incredible value of having a library card.

The Prince George Public Library is joining libraries across the country in celebrating Canadian Library Month.

The library is offering an exhibit at the Bob Harkins Branch to showcase the incredible value of having a library card.

Part of the exhibit features stories from residents whose lives have been changed through their library cards, said Neil Godbout, administration communication co-ordinator.

The second part of the exhibit shines a light on the thousands of books the Prince George Public Library has available in electronic form. The library owns 1,203 electronic books and library customers can also choose from 7,650 e-books available through Library To Go, one of the library's online databases. Read more in The Citizen
