Prince George RCMP have arrested one man after receiving reports Monday morning of shots fired on the 1600-block of Eighth Avenue.
The 9-1-1 call came in just before 9 a.m. on Monday. Police officers immediately flooded the area and the suspect was arrested less than five minutes later.
“Due to the swift actions of our police officers in getting the suspect into custody so quickly, there is no current increased risk to the public,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “No injuries have been reported in relation to this event.”
The investigation is in its initial stages. Anyone with information related to this event is encouraged to call the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line to speak with a police officer.
