Williams Lake police have one person in custody and seized a firearm after a shots fired report came in just after 4 a.m. Monday.
Officers attended the scene at a residence in the 900 block of Western Ave. in Williams Lake.
The incident is believed to be targeted as the house was recently occupied by an individual who claimed to be a local gang member but now the home is occupied by a family with no criminal connections.
There were no injuries during the incident.
Once police arrived at the scene another shot was heard.
As a precaution Williams Lake police notified the local school district, university, and area residents to stay away from the area at the time of the report and most recently have been given the all clear to resume daily activities.
