Shooting incident sends man to hospital

Police are investigating the shooting of a 43-year-old man late Sunday night in the VLA. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after police were called to the 2200-block of Oak Street at 11:25 p.m.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after police were called to the 2200-block of Oak Street at 11:25 p.m.

"The investigation is in the early stages and the motive for the incident is not known at this time," RCMP said and added it does not appear the shooter and the victim knew each other.

Police taped off a portion of Oak Street as well as the front of a home on Quince and the back alley between Victoria and Quince.
