Drive-by shooting "mistakenly targeted" Shady Lane home

Bullets were "full metal jackets so they sliced through our walls"

A woman is at a lossas to why her home was the target of a terrifying drive-by shooting on Sunday afternoon.

In a posting on The Hart Community Facebook page, Kutie Daniels said her home in the 2100 block of Shady Lane was "mistakenly targeted and shot up."

Her daughter was in the kitchen making lunch when bullets came flying through the living room.

"The bullets were full metal jackets so they sliced thru our walls and pierced almost all our bedrooms, one bullet event exited the back of our house," Daniels added.

"We have lost our home, my family is terrified to return home and my daughter now suffers from extreme PTSD."

The posting includes an image of a car connected to the incident. Police were called to the scene shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday.

"Please, if you see a red Dodge Avenger, I ask that you contact the RCMP," Daniels said.

Neither the home nor the residents are known to police, RCMP said in a press release issued this week.

Anyone with information on the car or the incident is asked to contact Prince George RCMP  at 250-561-3300.
