Over 300 students are expected to to the streets of Prince George to shine everything from shoes to helicopters as part of their annual Shinerama campaign.

Shinerama is the single largest charity event among Canadian colleges and university students and last year more than 65 schools raised more than $989,000 to help find a cure, or an effective control for cystic fibrosis.

"UNBC has had an influential role in the success of Shinerama. In past years we have raised over $19,000 for the fight against cystic fibrosis and this year we have set our biggest goal ever of $ 22,222.22", added co-ordinator Mark Nasu.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at locations all over the city including the Mohawk at 2511 Range Road, the PG Farmer's Market, Ruckus Bike Shop and Canadian Tire.
