Shelter death ruled not suspicious

Police have ruled the sudden death of a 39-year-old man at a men's shelter on Sunday was not suspicious. Just before 8 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to a men's shelter in the 100 block of Quebec Street after the dead man was discovered.

Just before 8 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to a men's shelter in the 100 block of Quebec Street after the dead man was discovered.

A forensic autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, and the man's death was found to be not suspicious.

RCMP have turned the investigation over to the B.C. Coroner's Service. The name of the man is being withheld by police.
