A suspect was charged after local police got a report of a break and enter that resulted in sexual assault Wednesday in the Connaught Hill area of Prince George.
The victim arrived home to find the suspect inside her residence. When she confronted him, he touched her in an inappropriate manner. The victim was able to fight off the suspect and he fled the residence.
Within an hour of the report the suspect was located and arrested. He was identified as Patrick Dwayne Williams of Prince George and has been charged with the following criminal code offences:
* Sexual assault
* Break and enter
* Theft under $5,000
Williams has been held in custody since his arrest and will appear in provincial court on July 4.
