Environment Canada has issued a warning for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and early evening.
The pattern will come through as a "disturbance moves through the area and interacts with the moist, unstable airmass," Environment Canada said.
"These thunderstorms may be capable of producing very strong wind gusts, large hail and torrential rain."
Residents are advised to take cover and stay indoors if a thunderstorm strikes.
"There isn't a place outside that is safe during a thunderstorm," Environment Canada said.
