The weather could turn nasty today.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Prince George, saying persons in or near the area should watch for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.
"Large hail can damage property and cause injury," the statement reads.
"Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year."
