North District RCMP's major crime unit has been called in to help in a search for a missing Quesnel man and two vehicles of interest.

Louis Korkowski was last seen on Monday after 6 p.m. on the West side of the community 116 kilometres south of Prince George.

He is described as 33 years old, 5 ft 4 in (162 cm) tall and weighing 110 pounds (50 kg) and with short black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing black track pants with a white stripe, blue jacket and black Mulisha sweater.

RCMP are also on the lookout for a green 2003 Ford Explorer SUV and a grey 2007 Toyota Matrix car. Both were last seen in the area of Sylvia's Café, in the 5600-block of Nazko Highway, on Monday just after 9 p.m.

The Explorer has a dent in the passenger door, a roof rack, black tinted windows, grey five-prong rims, chrome body trim and B.C. licence plate KF087R.

The Matrix has black paint and peeling damage to roof and sticker residue on the passenger side door and B.C. licence plate KA111X.

Both plates may have been changed or altered, RCMP said, and are asking the public to concentrate on the vehicle descriptions and photos issued by police.

Images of the vehicles are posted above.

Anyone with information in relation to Korkowski or the vehicles is asked to call 911.
