Sentence issued in copper wire theft

A Prince George man has been sentenced to six months house arrest and one year probation for his role in the theft of copper wire from a business on PG Pulpmill Road. Robert James Herron, 48, was issued the term Jan.

A Prince George man has been sentenced to six months house arrest and one year probation for his role in the theft of copper wire from a business on PG Pulpmill Road.

Robert James Herron, 48, was issued the term Jan. 18 in Prince George provincial court.

In October, Lorne Cecil Paquette, 68, was sentenced to 18 months house arrest and one year probation for the same June 27, 2015 incident.

Herron's sentence is for possession of stolen property over $5,000 and Paquette's is for break and enter and committing an indictable offence.

Value of the wire was over $125,000, RCMP said at the time of their arrests.
