An elderly man was sent to hospital and a senior citizen issued a traffic ticket after a pedestrian collision with a car in the area of Westwood Drive and Vance Road.
"Investigators believe an 82-year-old female Prince George resident driving a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was backing out of a driveway when she struck an 84-year-old male Prince George resident who was walking along Vance Road," said Prince George RCMP spokesperson Const. Julie Champagne.
"The man was transported by BC Ambulance Service to the University Hospital of Northern BC with unknown injuries and for further assessment. The female driver will be charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to yield to a pedestrian."
Vance Road was blocked off to traffic from the 2700 Block to the intersection of Westwood Drive while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene.
It was not disclosed if the two seniors knew one another.
