Second province-run cannabis retail shop to open in Prince George

Another cannabis store will be lit next week in Prince George. 

The second government location will be at 6111 Southridge Ave. within Westgate SmartCentre in College Heights.

The newest B.C. Cannabis Store will officially open its doors on July 16.

Operating hours will be as follows: 

  • Monday to Wednesday - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday to Friday - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday and most statutory holidays - 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The first government-regulated location in Prince George opened April 29 in the Pine Centre Mall

Back in February of 2019, city council gave the go-ahead for the College Heights location.

Vanderhoof will also be getting a provincially owned shop, with its doors set to open on July 14. 

The shop will be located at 2444 Burnard Ave. Operating hours for that location are as follows: 

  • Monday to Sunday - noon to 6 p.m.
  • Most statutory holidays - noon to 6 p.m.
