The second Prince George Hospice Dream Home 50/50 lottery is just around the corner.

If all the tickets sell out, the winner will have the chance to walk away with $150,000 for the second time this year.

The jackpot for the first 50/50 draw on Sept. 25 sold out, which allowed ticket-holder Lauraine Biech to take home the first $150,000 prize.

Tickets for the actual Dream Home officially sold out in September, just 90 days after the lottery was announced.

The 2020 early-bird prizes have also already been won, leaving the second 50/50 jackpot as the last big bounty before someone wins the $700,000 Dream Home in the Nechako View Subdivision on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24).

The current total for the 50/50 is more than $120,000 with three weeks to go before the draw date, also on Dec. 24.

The Dream Home Lottery is said to be the Hospice Society’s most important annual fundraiser and supports the palliative care services and programs in Prince George.

Proceeds from the 2020 Dream Home Lottery will help provide funds to support both Rotary Hospice House beds and the bereavement, grief and education programs offered by the Society.

The Society relies on donations and support from the community to ensure that it can continue to provide the best in palliative care for its guests, and grief support for those in need.

Tickets for the $50/50 are $25 each and, due to COVID-19, are only available online or by calling 1-866-419-7604.
