The case that involves the body of a deceased man found Wednesday in the area of Blackwater Road just keeps getting worse.
On Thursday police discovered a second male body off the Pelican Lake Forest Road, but no other details are available.
The first body found has been identified as Owen Thompson, a 48-year-old Prince George resident whose remains, along with the second victim, is now in Kamloops for a forensic autopsy. Cause of death has not been established in either case.
Police also located an injured 48-year-old female victim at the scene March 17 who was taken to UHNBC.
On Thursday Alberta RCMP arrested 36-year-old Michael James Bartley, an Alberta resident, in Paradise Valley. The accused is in custody at the Lloydminster detachment, and will be returned to Prince George next week.
Bartley has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder, and will appear in court in April.
The Prince George serious crimes unit continues to investigate and will be consulting with Crown Counsel with respect to additional charges.
