Protesters hold signs before they march during a protest over the death of George Floyd in Chicago, Saturday, May 30, 2020. Floyd died after being taken into custody and restrained by Minneapolis police on Memorial Day in Minnesota.

A rally against racism will be held on Saturday at the Prince George Playhouse, noon start.

Hosted by the Prince George Afro-Caribbean Society, organizers say it will provide an opportunity for those who cannot make the rally set for Friday at city hall, a 2 p.m. start, and to lessen the number of participants in accordance with the provincial health officer's urging that group gatherings be limited to no more than 50 people.

Both rallies are in support of Black Lives Matter and are part of a wave of rallies and protests following the death of George Floyd, a Black man, at the hands of police in Minneapolis.
