Search warrant nets significant amount of drugs, cash

During the early morning hours of Oct.

During the early morning hours of Oct. 26 members of the Prince George RCMP's Drug Section with assistance from general duty officers, concluded an investigation with a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act [CDSA] search warrant and subsequent arrest of two men investigators believe to be high level drug dealers.

At approximately 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 25, members of Prince George RCMP's drug section apprehended a male who fled from police after officers attempted to stop his vehicle. Police located and seized a quantity of cash and approximately 8.5 grams of what investigators believe to be heroin. The suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. As a result of this investigation, police were able to identify a residence believed to be used to store illicit drugs. A second male was arrested near the residence.

In the early morning hours of Oct. 26 members of the drug section executed a CDSA search warrant at the residence. Police seized approximately half a kilogram of cocaine, approximately 200 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 42 grams of heroin, and approximately $30,000 in cash.

Police will be recommending multiple charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking against a 21-year-old male and 24-year-old male, both residents of Prince George.
