A Prince George-based parolee has gone unlawfully at large. Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for Jarrod Lane, 40.
Lane was released from federal custody on March 13. He was to serve his day parole at a Prince George halfway house but he allegedly broke a condition of his release and then failed to report as directed to his supervisor. He was last seen on Wednesday and attempts to locate him since then have been in vain.
Police are now asking the general public to be on the lookout for Lane.
Lane is described as:
- Caucasian male 183 cm (6 feet), 82 kg (186 pounds)
- Brown hair, shaved short
- Hazel eyes
- Possibly with a goatee beard
- Tattoos on his lower neck, collar area
"Lane is believed to still be in the Prince George area," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "He has a lengthy criminal record for mostly property related offenses, but should be considered violent. Anyone that sees Lane is asked not to approach him. Call police immediately."
