A search resumed Monday morning for a person who may have jumped off the John Hart Bridge on Sunday night.

Searchers were first called out at 8 p.m. Sunday.

RCMP and a police service dog searched the shores of the Nechako River and accessible points of the Fraser River and a privately-owned helicopter was deployed until darkness but without success.

On Monday morning, Prince George Search and Rescue was activated, boats were on the river and a helicopter was once again in the air.

The object of the search was most likely female with long blonde hair and a slight build.
