The nomination period for the School District. No. 57 (SD57) by-election is nearing a close.
The nomination period closes on Friday May 12, at and nominations will have to be received by the chief election officer by 4 p.m.
Nomination documents are available online or may be picked up in person at the district offices at 2100 Ferry Avenue.
Voters will have to elect two candidates to fill the vacant seats left by the resignations of Prince George trustees Betty Bekkering and Gillian Burnett.
There are already six candidates running:
- Lucille Duncan
- Donald Fitzpatrick
- David Low
- Shar McCroy
- Heather Mackenzie
- Sarah Holland
The election will be held on Saturday June, 17.
