Santa came early this year when he and the Salmon Valley Volunteer Fire Department and Community Association delivered gifts to children waiting at the end of their driveways on Dec. 19.
The jolly elf got a ride on a fire truck with light flashing and sirens blaring announcing his arrival.
Santa met each family following all pandemic safety measures and gifted bags filled with goodies provided by the community association.
In pre-covid years the community in Salmon Valley would gather during a Santa's breakfast but as everyone has to find new ways to celebrate the season the neighbourhood came together in this way, hoping that others will also find creative new ways to safely celebrate the season.
