Sale of Dunster school to proceed

A sale of the Dunster Fine Arts School for $39,500 to parents and community members was approved Tuesday night by school board trustees, ending a summer of protracted negotiating and leaving both parents and trustees in an upbeat mood.

Despite some tough talk over the summer, Dunster Fine Arts School Society member Chris Taylor said the sides were able to reach a deal because they truly wanted to.

Trustees were quick to thank secretary-treasurer Brian Mix for "thinking outside the box" in coming up with the agreement which will see the school district hold the mortgage, which will be less than $39,5000 because of a downpayment
