The owner of Fraserway RV has launched a fundraising campaign to help people who've been displaced by the wildfires this summer with the money going to Samaritan's Purse Canada and Canadian Red Cross.
For every RV sold at its dealerships in B.C., The Adventure Group will donate $1,500. ($750 for each RV sold at one of its seven out-of-province dealerships).
As well 10 per cent of proceeds from retail parts sold and from retail rental bookings will go to the effort.
As well, displaced residents looking to buy an RV will be offered a $1,000 credit.
And it will match donations raised by its more than 800 employees.
The Adventure Group also owns Country RV and Travelhome RV.
"Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of the victims of the fires," said campaign spokesperson Amanda Henschell, for The Adventurer Group.
The Adventurer Group raised $448,022 in 2016 for the northern Alberta fire relief efforts and $291,630 for the 2013 Calgary flood relief efforts.
