An armed robber threatened staff at a late-night convenience store, and it may be for the second time in less than a year.

This incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Friday at the corner of 20th Avenue and Queensway.

The lone male entered the convenience store and produced what police described as "a small edged weapon." There were no injuries in the incident. The suspect made off with a small amount of cash and escaped the police search that quickly followed.

The suspect was wearing a black scarf, black sunglasses, a long brown jacket, light brown ball cap and tan (khaki) pants. He is approximately six feet tall and 180 pounds.

"Investigators believe that the same person responsible for this robbery, was also responsible for a robbery at the same location in June 2010," according to Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass.
